Liverpool legend claims current striker will become an all-time great

Former Liverpool star Kevin Keegan believes Luis Suarez will break all of the records at Anfield and become a club legend, as reported by BBC Sport.

Suarez has been the catalyst to Liverpool’s title challenge and is set to inspire the Reds to a victory at West Ham today that will send them back to the top of the table.

The Uruguayan was expected to leave in the summer but Brendan Rodgers convinced him to stay and is reaping the rewards now.

Keegan feels the striker is up there with the best ever at Anfield and that he is a cert to break a number of club goalscoring records.

“I think he belongs right in there. He is just such a fantastic player,” Keegan said.

He should be the player of the year, with Eden Hazard and Yaya Toure probably the others that spring to mind. I can’t think of anybody else who has had a season like him.

“He is going to break all records at a club like Liverpool. This is Liverpool, where you have had Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen and yet he is going to break all those records if he stays fit.

If you said to most people in this country that they had to buy a ticket to watch one player at the moment then I think most would go to watch Suarez as he is so exciting.”
