Liverpool are looking to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Lucas Moura this January, according to reports from the Metro.
The Reds have made an approach in order to lure Lucas to Anfield after their poor 2-0 loss to Newcastle United on Sunday, with manager Jurgen Klopp keen on adding a world class winger into his attack.
And French source Le 10 Sport have claimed that talks have begun over the potential switch, as the Brazil international is struggling to nail down a first-team role following the summer move of Angel di Maria from Manchester United.
Despite Lucas previously insisting he is happy in Paris, it seems the 23-year-old is open to the possibility of working with Klopp in Merseyside and may consider playing in the English top flight.
Liverpool’s Brazilian contingent of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino could sway Lucas to join them at Anfied, making the Reds’ attack look extremely intimidating on paper.
Lucas has only started 12 league games this term, while coming on as a substitute four times in four Champions League fixtures.
