When speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Emre Can seemed hugely excited by Liverpool’s victory over Manchester United on Thursday night.
The Anfield side ran out 2-0 winners at their home ground and it could have been so much more had David de Gea not provided some outstanding saves. Can was one of the players most positive about the performance of De Gea and told the Echo, ‘he made some great saves’.
Emre Can admitted that he wasn’t at his best at Anfield on Thursday night, but he commented that the night was an ‘incredible’ moment in his career and remained realistic about the challenge that faces Liverpool in the second leg.
The German midfield has been the midfield lynch-pin for Liverpool of late and dealt with a barrage aerial balls against Marouane Fellaini on Thursday night as he continues to prove himself to the Anfield faithful. Despite being signed by Rodgers, Can looks to be fitting in brilliantly under Klopp.
