Liverpool have stepped up their chase to sign Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after asking to be kept informed on his situation, Football Insider reports.
The 22-year-old wants to see his current £52,000-a-week wages increase dramatically and has put contract talks on hold until this issue can be agreed upon.
However, the Gunners are not sure whether to reward him with a new deal given that he has been having trouble with injuries and has struggled to hold down a regular role in the squad.
Manager Arsene Wenger is not keen on selling the winger despite heavy interest from a host of clubs hoping to lure him away.
Apart from the Reds, Premier League trio Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United are also monitoring the situation of the England international ahead of a potential summer move.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently valued at £30million, but has only started nine league matches while featuring from the bench another 13 times this term, so far scoring one goal in the process.
