Liverpool are still keeping tabs on Leroy Sane from Schalke despite failing to acquire his services during the recent summer window, according to reports from the Mirror.
The 19-year-old is also being linked with a switch to Tottenham Hotspur after catching the eye of the Premier League pair when he scored a goal on his Champions League debut against Real Madrid last season.
It is believed that manager Brendan Rodgers tried to sign the winger during the previous window with a bid of around the £11million region, but was denied the chance to bring him to Anfield.
However, the Bundesliga outfits are not keen on seeing Sane leave so soon after completing a deal which saw star attacker Julian Draxler join league rivals Wolfsburg for £25million.
Club manager Andre Breitenreiter is said to have turned to his younger players to build the foundation of his squad, with Sane along with Max Meyer, Leon Goretzka, and Johannes Geis all vital members.
