Liverpool are looking to make an £18million (€25million) offer for Fiorentina star Giuseppe Rossi this January, according to reports from Football Italia.
Rossi started his career with Manchester United, but failed to break into the first team and made the switch to Villarreal in 2007.
The Italy international made a name for himself in the Spanish La Liga, but a series of knee injuries kept him out of the side and he joined Fiorentina in 2013.
But once again he struggled with another knee problem that kept him out for most of last season, and has found regular first-team football hard to come by at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
However, according to ItaSportPress, the 28-year-old could revive his career in Merseyside, with Liverpool reportedly considering an £18million bid to bring him to Anfield this January.
In the 2013-2014 season before his MCL injury, Rossi scored 16 league goals in just 21 Serie A matches.
