Liverpool are preparing a £31.5million offer to sign out-of-favour Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze this summer, according to reports from Fichajes.
The Germany international has struggled to play on a regular basis under Pep Guardiola this season, and his lack of playing has seen him considering a switch elsewhere.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has managed Gotze before during their time at Borussia Dortmund, and is readying a £31.5million bid when the transfer window opens in the summer.
However, it seems that Liverpool are currently reluctant to match Gotze’s salary at Bayern, with the 23-year-old currently receiving £180,000-a-week playing for the Bavarians.
The attacking midfielder joined Bayern from Dortmund in the summer of 2013 to much fan-fare, but this season Gotze has only made 12 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.
