Liverpool are set to make another offer to sign Manchester United target Nathaniel Clyne after seeing their previous bid rejected by Southampton, Mirror reports.
The 24-year-old has only 12 months left on his current deal at the club, but despite being given the opportunity to extend the deal, he is yet to agree to any terms.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers made an attempt at luring him to Anfield with a £10million bid in hope of replacing outgoing star Glen Johnson.
They are now ready to increase their offer and try to beat United to the signing of the England international this summer.
Rodgers’ side have been very active ahead of the transfer window, confirming the acquisition’ of James Milner and Adam Bogdan from Manchester City and Bolton, as well as Danny Ings from Burnley earlier this month.
Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has made Clyne one of his top defensive targets as his squad is still lacking options in the right-back position.
