Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to offload tempestuous defender Mamadou Sakho, with Besiktas linked with an £18 million move for the France international in The Sun.
The former Paris Saint-Germain centre-half has been in the press for all the wrong reasons of late, with a failed drugs test and a reported fall-out with Klopp making national news.
The latest report suggests that the German manager has lost patience with Sakho and is ready to offload him before the transfer window closes at the end of August.
Besiktas are ready to splurge on the French defender, with the Reds hoping to recuperate the £18 million that they spent on him.
The signing of Joel Matip this summer has refreshed Klopp’s options at the heart of the Liverpool defence and Sakho is no longer guaranteed a starting role at Anfield.
Liverpool start their Premier League campaign with a trip to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium today.
