Liverpool are ready to table a £15million offer in their efforts to sign Fernando Muslera from Galatasaray in order to provide competition for Simon Mignolet, Express reports.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper was also linked with league rivals Manchester United during the summer amid speculation that David De Gea was headed for Real Madrid.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp recently revealed his trust in first choice keeper Mignolet, but could sign Uruguay international given the poor displays from backup selection Adam Bogdan.
Bogdan was at heavy fault for one of the goals conceded in the 3-0 defeat at the hands of Watford two weekends ago and could see his place in the squad under huge threat.
Klopp may need to increase his bid even higher if he is to secure the services of the keeper given the Turkish giants’ valuation of £35million following an enquiry previously made by United.
Muslera has featured 23 times in all competitions for his side this term and has conceded 32 goals while managing to keep five clean sheets so far.
