Liverpool’s pursuit of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been given a boost, with the La Liga giants open to offers for the striker, that is according to The Metro.
Brendan Rodgers tried to counteract the loss of Luis Suarez to Barcelona by bringing in Southampton striker Rickie Lambert and former Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli. However, the duo have only managed three goals from 33 Premier League appearances.

It appears the former Swansea City man has earmarked Real Madrid’s Benzema to finally fill that gap vacated by Suarez, although they will face competition for the striker from Paris Saint-Germain – the Ligue 1 outfit are deemed favourites in the race for the French international.
The 27-year-old has six goals from as many starts in the Champions League this season, as well as an impressive return of 13 goals and eight assists in 25 La Liga games this campaign.
