Liverpool have received a massive blow following news that Jordan Henderson is set to be sidelined for two more months after breaking his foot in training, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Henderson has been seeing a specialist in regards to a heel problem which caused him to limp off against Bournemouth during gameweek two, and the England international was recovering and in contention to play against Norwich City on Sunday.
However, sadly the 25-year-old broke a bone in his right foot on Friday, which will delay his return by an additional two months.
The freak accident will result in Henderson undergoing surgery early this week, forcing the dynamic midfielder to most likely miss the Reds’ next 12 fixtures.
The former Sunderland star will also be ruled out of England duty next month, which is the longest period of time Henderson is set to be out of action in his entire career.
Henderson made 54 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring seven goals.
