Liverpool are believed to be preparing a move to lure Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino to Anfield ahead of Manchester United, according to reports from the Metro.
The 21-year-old has attracted huge interest from the Reds and United, as well as Arsenal, with the trio of clubs constantly being linked with his signature.
Firmino was tipped for a move to Old Trafford after the Red Devils were said to be preparing a bid worth £30million to ensure his switch.
However, it seems Brendan Rodgers’ side have already tabled an offer, but it is said to be only worth £18.6million, half the price United were willing to offer.
The Brazilian midfielder is highly likely to leave his club in the summer, but it is still unknown where his next destination will be.
He has been on great form so far this season, scoring 10 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions, and is set to trigger a bidding war amongst Europe’s elite during the summer window.
