Liverpool are plotting a move to sign Arsenal target Denis Cheryshev from Real Madrid after he is likely to be given a very limited role this term, Daily Star reports.
The 24-year-old featured a number of times during the preseason, but has found it very hard to break into the first team given that he is fighting for place against Cristiano Ronaldo on the wing.
It looks as though the winger is now regarded as surplus to requirements by manager Rafa Benitez and could be given the green light for an exit.
He is likely to be available for around the £15million region, with the Gunners along with Everton also monitoring his situation during the recent summer window.
La Liga giants Valencia are also said to have joined the race for the Russia international, with the side along with the Reds believed to be favourites to sign the winger.
Since joining the Real youth team from Burgos back in 2002, Cheryshev has only made one substitute appearance for the senior squad, spending the past two campaigns away on loan.
