Liverpool are the latest club to join the race for Manchester United target Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan, according to reports from Tuttosport.
Despite his young age, he has already managed to overtake Diego Lopez between the sticks at Milan and has been featuring regularly for his side.
The Blues were linked with a move after club keeper Marco Amelia revealed that he was being tracked by the current English champions, while United were said to be preparing a £30million bid for his services.
However, Milan president Silvio Berlusconi admitted that Donnarumma will not be sold no matter how much was offered and will be a vital member of the squad for another 20 years.
“Donnarumma is 16 years old, he is admired by all and he won’t leave Milan, whatever offer might come in,” he told Premium Sport.
“He will be the Milan goalkeeper for the next 20 years. He is a good lad, very strong physically, mentally and in terms of his character.”
He has already featured 17 times in the league this term and is under contract at the San Siro until 2018.
