Liverpool are closing in on acquiring the services of Bayern Munich’s Xherdan Shaqiri after the two clubs are said to have agreed a £10million fee for the transfer to go through, Daily Star reports.
The 23-year-old has been attracting interest from both Arsenal and Manchester United as well, but Brendan Rodgers’ side is said to be the only Premier League club to have made a formal offer.
He had been targeting the Swiss international ever since the summer, but Shaqiri decided to remain with the Bundesliga champions and fight for his place.
However, he has found it very hard to break into a regular team role this season, making only three league starts as the winger is now tipped to make an exit.
He was also on the verge of joining Inter Milan after speculation that he has already agreed a deal with the Serie A giants, prompting a head-to-head battle between the two teams.
