Liverpool have received a massive boost in regards to Jordan Henderson’s injury after it was revealed that the captain does not need to undergo surgery, Express reports.
Henderson has been suffering from a heel problem the past month, missing the Reds’ last three games against Arsenal, West Ham United, and Manchester United.
And his absence has definitely been felt, with the Merseyside club only picking up one point during those fixtures.
However, manager Brendan Rodgers finally has some good news as Henderson returns from New Jersey after visiting a specialist and receiving injections to speed up the recovery process.
Rodgers can now only wait to see the results from the treatment, but if things go as planned then the 25-year-old could be in contention to feature against Norwich when the Canaries visit Anfield this weekend.
Before the Norwich clash, Liverpool will hope to kick-start their Europa League campaign when they travel to France to face Bordeaux this Thursday.
