Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge has been injured once again after pulling up with a hamstring problem following their 2-0 loss to Newcastle United this past Sunday, Mirror reports.
Sturridge has struggled with injury problems since the beginning of last season, but finally made his debut in their 6-1 Capital One Cup triumph over Southampton last week.
The England international bagged two goals in that fixture and it was believed that he has finally regained full fitness ahead of a hectic December period.
However, Sturridge was brought on a substitute at St. James’ Park and after the loss, complained that he felt some pain behind his thigh.
Sadly, scans have confirmed that he has damaged his hamstring muscle, which will be a big blow for manager Jurgen Klopp before the weekend.
The 26-year-old has only featured six times in the entire campaign after recovering from a hip surgery he underwent during the summer.
