Liverpool ace Raheem Sterling is open with a transfer to Manchester United this summer, but is frightened that the move will be judged badly due to the rivalry between the two clubs, according to the Guardian.
Sterling has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield over the past few months, and his recent contract stand-off with the Reds’ hierarchy has fuelled speculation.
It seems that Sterling is keen on working with United boss Louis van Gaal, and with the Dutchman preferring a 4-3-3 set-up, the move could work for both.
However, the 20-year-old is concerned that moving from Liverpool to Old Trafford will be ill-received by his former fans, and if he underperforms, will also get blasted by the Red Devils supporters.
United are reportedly preparing a £25million offer, which is set to start a bidding war for pacey winger.
Sterling has played 52 games in all competitions this season, scoring 11 goals and supplying ten assists.
