Liverpool star puts pressure on City ahead of title clash

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez believes the pressure is all on Manchester City ahead of their crunch clash today, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

The Uruguayan hitman has been the catalyst behind Liverpool’s epic run of form that has seen them go from top four hopefuls to title winning favourites.

Suarez feels that because of City’s big money spending in recent years, they are expected to win the league by supporters and pundits alike.

The clash at Anfield today is seen as the most important games of the season for both teams, with a win for either possibly deciding where the title is heading.

“We have a good chance of winning the title but City – and Chelsea – have invested a fortune in their squads and because of that are forced to win it,” Suarez said.

“But we are ambitious and nobody will take that from us. We can win the league.”

Suarez starts alongside Daniel Sturridge for Liverpool with Vincent Kompany passing a late fitness test for City.
