Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is in line for a new contract at Anfield, according to The Daily Star.
The Belgium international stopper has had his ups and downs over the last couple of seasons with the Merseyside club, with some incredible performances being offset by lapses in confidence and concentration.
The Liverpool fans have been torn in their opinion of the former Sunderland stopper, who is currently the number one custodian at the club.
Despite rumblings that new manager Jurgen Klopp may well look to sign a new goalkeeper to replace the Belgian, the latest suggestion is that the German trainer is set to back Mignolet.
Liverpool are undergoing a project to finish in the top four under Klopp but have seen their defence lead to disappointing results this season.
The Reds are also through to the knockout rounds of the Europa League and the latter stages of the Capital One Cup.
