Liverpool star Jordan Henderson has flown to the United States to see a specialist in regards to his foot injury, according to reports from the Mirror.
The Reds captain limped off the field in their second game against Bournemouth with a foot problem, and it was thought that he would be ready in the time for last week’s big clash against Manchester United.
But the injury didn’t subside and Henderson missed the Old Trafford encounter, unable to help his team in a 3-1 defeat to the Red Devils.
And it looks like the 25-year-old could also be sidelined when they host Norwich at Anfield this Sunday, with the club more focused on getting rid of the problem than hurrying Henderson back to the first-team.
Henderson was appointed as the club’s captain over the summer following the departure of Steven Gerrard, with manager Brendan Rodgers seeing the England international as the perfect replacement for the Liverpool legend.
