Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert is being tipped for a departure following their move to sign Aston Villa star Christian Benteke, according to reports from the Mirror.
The 33-year-old completed a move to Anfield from Southampton last summer, but has struggled to hold down a regular role under manager Brendan Rodgers.
Norwich City are now keen to add the striker to their ranks following their promotion into the Premier League, joining a host of clubs interested in the former Saints star.
West Bromwich Albion, Bournemouth, Villa, and Middlesbrough have all been linked with the services of the forward in recent months.
With Benteke said to be set for his medical in order to complete his £32.5million move from Villa, Lambert is likely to be sold as the addition of the Belgium international will move him further down the pecking order.
He only managed to start seven league matches last term, featuring a further 18 times from the bench, scoring a total of two goals and providing another two assists.
