Monaco striker Radamel Falcao is demanding a massive £200,00-a-week in order to make a loan move to Liverpool, Express reports.
The Colombian international will gladly accept a season-long loan to Anfield if the Merseysiders can pay him his desired salary.
Despite winning their first Premier League game 2-1 against Southampton, Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is still keen to bring in a striker before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
Several big names have been linked with Liverpool, but according to reports Falcao is looking to leave Monaco after only one season with the Ligue-1 side.
The 28-year-old is desperate to move to Real Madrid, but the European champions are unwilling to pay a huge fee up front after already signing the likes of Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez.
Monaco are therefore looking to offload the striker on a loan and will wait for Real to come back with a concrete offer for Falcao next summer.
Although Liverpool are extremely interested, the former Atletico Madrid star’s £200,000-a-week wage demands could prove too big an obstacle for the Reds hierarchy to overcome.
