Liverpool are set to consider former Tottenham and Chelsea manager Andres Vilas-Boas to replace under-fire boss Brendan Rodgers, Express reports.
The Reds were previously linked with Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp, but the German has expressed his desire to stay with the Bundesliga side.
“The only other language I speak is English a little bit and, for my type of coaching, I need the language,” he said.
“But not now, not this year, I don’t know when.”
Now Andres Villas-Boas has become an option for Liverpool, as the Portuguese gaffer is now enjoying a good season with Russia side Zenit St Petersburg.
Liverpool have underperformed compared to last season’s 2nd place finish, putting Brendan Rodgers under immense pressure or face the sack before the end of the season.
The Reds also have a must-win game against FC Basel in the Champions League, with three points a necessity to avoid being knocked out in the group stages.
