Liverpool to let 28-year-old levee for free after summer arrivals

Liverpool are ready to cut ties with goalkeeper Adam Bogdan following the arrival of Loris Karius from Mainz, The Sun report.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer in his first pre-season at Anfield, with a number of new faces set to arrive on Merseyside.

Goalkeeper was one position that the German trainer was keen to bolster, with doubts over the viability of Simon Mignolet.

Karius is expected to be the Reds’ number one next season but Bogdan has fallen to third choice and is now deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield.

The Hungary international moved from Bolton to Liverpool last year but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by – and made a number of blunders when he did get the chance to play.

The report suggests that Bogdan is destined for a return to The Championship and that Klopp is willing to offload the star on a free transfer or on a loan basis dependant on the interest from other clubs.
