West Bromwich Albion have demanded a £30million fee if Liverpool are to continue their pursuit of Saido Berahino, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 21-year-old has also attracted interest from Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, as well as Chelsea over the course of the campaign.
Berahino still has two years remaining on his current deal, a factor that gives manager Tony Pulis the upper hand when trying to negotiate a potential transfer fee.
He was being tipped for an exit after alerting a number of sides when he revealed his intentions to move to a bigger club following his good form in front of goal.
The England Under-21 international netted 20 goals from a total of 45 appearances in all competitions last term, but despite being called up for the senior squad back in 2014, he is yet to make his debut.
However, with the striker’s agent also representing Reds star Raheem Sterling, a move to Anfield may be halted due to the strained relationship between the two parties.
