Liverpool have been told that they need to make an offer of around £2million in order to sign Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto this month despite the fact that he will be allowed to leave in the summer for free, Mirror reports.
The 25-year-old’s contract will expire at the end of this season, but Brendan Rodgers may not want to wait that long before signing a goalkeeper to replace out-of-form Simon Mignolet.
However, the Reds are not alone in their bids to secure the services of the Brazilian shot-stopper as Serie A giants Juventus are also keen on bringing him over to their club.
It is even said that the Italian side have already agreed terms with the current Fiorentina man over a potential switch when his current deal comes to and end.
Rodgers may decide to spend the £2million now in hopes that he can beat Massimiliano Allegri to the keeper despite speculation that a verbal agreement has already been reached regarding the potential transfer.
