Liverpool looks to have been dealt a massive blow in their hopes of signing Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri after it is believed that he has agreed terms over a potential move to Inter Milan, Talksport reports.
The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move to join Brendan Rodger’s side after speculation that the Reds were in pole position to acquire his services this month.
However, Shaqiri is said to have agreed a loan deal with the Italian giants for the remainder of the season as Inter with a choice to make the move permanent in the summer for a fee of around £12million.
The Swiss international is currently looking for a way out of the Bundesliga champions because he has been given very limited playing time due to the high number of competition in the club’s attacking roles.
He has only made three league starts so far during this campaign, appearing a further six times as a substitute and is also said to be a target for Arsenal as well as Manchester United.
