Liverpool target Jose Callejon will not be moving to Anfield, as Real Madrid want to hold onto the attacker.

The Spanish forward played a bit-part role in the Santiago Bernabeu side's first-team squad last season, contributing goals but largely having to make do with appearances from the bench.

With Brendan Rodgers' appointment on Merseyside a new look attack is expected at the Reds, with Andy Carroll potentially on his way out and supposedly Fabio Borini and Clint Dempsey on their way to Anfield.

Callejon is another name that has been heavily speculated as a Liverpool target, but the player's agent has refuted claims that the LA Liga champions will sell the home-grown forward.

"There are several teams that want to sign Callejon," Manuel Garcia Quilon told Fichajes y cracks, translated to English by Sky Sports.

"But the club will not sell, Callejon is not transferable."
