Liverpool midfielder Lucas could leave Anfield for free next year when his contract expires, but he may be exiting Anfield for free this summer.
Turkish side Galatasaray are keen on signing the Brazilian, and reports by Fotomac claim the Reds will let Lucas join for free this transfer window.
After failing to meet FFP regulations, Gala are currently banned from European competitions, and are still being investigated over their budgets. The Turkish side are desperate to keep their spending to a minimum, and are very keen on the 29-year-old.
Lucas played in 27 league games for Liverpool last season, occasionally at centre-back, as he completed his 9th season at Anfield. The Brazilian is one of the busiest players at the club off the field, and is the Liverpool FC Foundation Ambassador.
The holding midfielder has only won one tournament with the club, the 2012 League Cup. He has finished runner-up twice in the league, and in last season’s UEFA Europa League final.
