Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has reacted with surprise at reports suggesting he is close to the Anfield exit door.
The 23-year-old Brazil midfielder has been an ever-present for the Reds during the opening weeks of the new season but is reported to be wanted by Stoke City.
The recent arrivals of Christian Poulsen and Raul Meireles to replace Javier Mascherano has led to suggestions that Lucas is surplus to requirements.
However, the South American insists he knows nothing of a potential move away from Merseyside.
"At the moment, I haven't had any offers," he said."I don't know if the club wants to sell me. I just have to wait.
"I'm going away with the national team and I can't say any more than that. We don't have any games so we will be training for a week in Barcelona.
"If the club want to sell me, what can I do? I just have to wait and see what will happen. But I want to be playing. I am trying to do my best here."
