Real Madrid are planning a sensational deal which would see them beat Manchester United and Arsenal to the signing of Marco Reus by offering a swap deal with Borussia Dortmund involving Sami Khedira, Express reports.
The German pair was tipped to make a switch to the Premier League, but if the Spanish giants can pull off this deal, it will be seen as a huge blow to both English clubs.
Khedira is currently being overlooked by Carlo Ancelotti and is likely to force his way out during the January window as he only has six months left of his deal at the Bernabeu.
Much like his national teammate, Reus is also believed to be on his way to another club with Borussia Dortmund preferring to see him leave at the start of the upcoming window than to risk losing him for around £20million once his new buyout clause is triggered at the end of this campaign.
Rumours also suggest that Jurgen Klopp’s side is interested in the services of the Madrid anchorman and is likely to accept the deal hoping to benefit from his arrival.
