Madrid star wants Manchester United move

Real Madrid Winger Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo has informed both Real and Manchester United that he would relish the prospect of moving back to the North West of England, according to the Guardian.

The Portuguese star has informed his current club that he will not be signing new deal at the Bernabeu and so they will need to evaluate any offers made from United in the near future.

Red Devils boss David Moyes is unlikely to make a bid this summer with a central midfielder being his priority but United will enter discussions with Madrid at some point this season about a deal taking place this time next year.

The Spanish side would currently demand the £80million that they paid for Ronaldo if United made a bid but in 2014 they will not be in a position to barter as the winger will be slowly running down his contract.

Ronaldo has told United that he wants to end his career with them in England.
