Everton have been handed a boost, with IB Times stating that Gerard Deulofeu is happy at the Merseyside club and does not want to return to former employers Barcelona.
The flying winger has been impressive again in Roberto Martinez’s side this season, with the Spaniard showing sublime skill and an excellent understanding with striker Romelu Lukaku.
Barcelona have a buy-back option on their youth product and can activate it this summer if they so wish.
This would leave Everton powerless to resist the Catalans’ advances, with Deulofeu therefore forced to return to Camp Nou.
However, the latest report suggests that the attacker wants to remain at Goodison Park – which is a boost to the Toffees given that a host of their young stars are set to be in real demand this summer.
The likes of Lukaku, John Stones and Ross Barkley are all expected to be the subject of interest from top European sides at the end of the current campaign.
