Manchester City star Micah Richards has revealed that he may consider a move to Inter Milan despite being linked with Liverpool, according to reports from the Express.
The 26-year-old was unable to hold down a regular role in defence following a long-term injury and was eventually loaned out to Fiorentina.
However, his move to the Serie A didn’t go as planned as he was once again benched regularly for the majority to the campaign, making only 10 league appearances.
He is seen as the third choice selection behind Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna, a factor that is likely to persuade him to leave the Etihad.
Richards is now considering the chance to be reunited with former City boss Roberto Mancini at Inter, a move that will be a blow to the Reds.
“The Premier League is fantastic but I had my best season at City under Roberto Mancini,” he said.
“He’s at Inter now, so maybe that could be an option. I think he definitely got the best out of me.”
The Anfield club were hoping to sign the English right-back to replace outgoing star Glen Johnson in the summer, but may be forced to look elsewhere.
