Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has given an update on star striker Sergio Aguero’s injury situation after being seen limping in the final minutes of their 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion, talkSPORT reports.
City were trailing to the Baggies at the Etihad on Saturday, but Aguero pulled a goal back by scoring a first half penalty before unintentionally setting up Samir Nasri for the winner to cap off a brilliant performance.
But, the Argentina international was hooked off and replaced by Gael Clichy after being seen limping in the final minutes of the fixture, causing fears that he could miss the Citizen’s crunch Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
However, Pellegrini has come out to reveal that Aguero did not sustain any serious injury problems, claiming that it was just a ‘kick’ and that the former Atletico Madrid hitman will feature against PSG this week.
Pellegrini said: “It was just a kick. I don’t think [there will be any problem for Tuesday’s match].”
Aguero, 27, has made 36 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring 23 goals.
