Maicon and Scott Sinclair have joined Manchester City as Roberto Mancini looks to be extremely busy on transfer deadline day.
Maicon arrives from Inter Milan for an undisclosed fee and the Brazilian right back will know boss Mancini well after playing for him when he was the manager at Inter. The signing casts doubt over the future of Micah Richards at the Etihad Stadium but City now have strength in depth throughout their squad.
Scott Sinclair has arrived from Swansea and is a player that adds some width and pace to the Champions’ side. The former Bristol Rovers winger is clearly excited by arriving at such a big club with a big future.
“I’m just glad everything is settled and I’m now a City player… I can’t wait to get started,” Sinclair told the clubs official website.
“There were times when I thought it might not happen so I’m relieved that I’m here.”
“Playing alongside some of the best players in the world is exciting for me. When you see two Champions League fixtures against Real Madrid on the horizon, it brings it all home.”
