Manchester City have confirmed that Stevan Jovetic has left the club to join Inter Milan, as per the BBC.
The Montenegro international arrived at the Etihad Stadium in the summer of 2013 and was being tipped to be a star for Manuel Pellegrini’s men.
However, debilitating injuries blighted the forward’s opportunities to play, with Jovetic only making 11 Premier League starts and scoring eight goals over the last 24 months.
Inter have stated on their official website that the 25-year-old has penned a deal until 2019, while City claim that it is a loan stint with an option to buy.
Inter have been busy in the transfer window so far, landing Paulo Miranda, Geoffrey Kondogbia and other international players, with Roberto Mancini overseeing a transitional period at the historic Serie A outfit.
Sergio Aguero remains City’s first-choice centre forward, with the title hopefuls also having Wilfried Bony and Edin Dzeko as attacking options.
