Man City in defensive crisis ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Manchester City could be travelling to Crystal Palace this weekend without a recognized right-back following injuries to both Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta, according to reports from the Mirror.

Zabaleta has been unavailable for selection since the start of the current campaign and is yet to feature for his side, with Sagna now deemed a doubt as well.

The France international picked up an ankle injury on Monday while representing his national team as the club medical staff step up their efforts to get him ready for the trip to Selhurst Park.

Despite winning all four of their opening games, City manager Manuel Pellegrini will need to be wary given that Palace boss Alan Pardew has already guided his team to three victories.

Apart from the two right-backs, summer signing Fabian Delph limped out of his international match for England when they faced Switzerland after only nine seconds, but is in line to be replaced by teammate Fernando.
