Man City join Chelsea in pursuit for Premier League old boy

Manuel Pellegrini wants to bring Paul Pogba back to the Premier League as Man City prepare for life without Yaya Toure, that is according to reports coming from the Express.

Pogba, who made three substitute appearances for Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson, has also been linked with a return to his former club as well as fellow Premier League outfit Chelsea.

Manuel Pellegrini believes that the French international could be the long-term replacement for Yaya Toure – the midfielder is currently away on international duty with the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations, with City failing to win a game all season without the 31-year-old – and would be willing to allow the former Barcelona man to leave the Etihad Stadium should he secure Pogba’s signature.

The 21-year-old, who helped Juve ease past AC Milan 3-1 last night, has made 19 appearances for the Old Lady in Serie A so far this season, bagging six goals and one assist in the process.
