Manchester City are believed to be preparing to spend up to about £200million to rebuild their squad ahead of the new season, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The club look to have overcome their tussles with the Financial Fair Play sanctions that have halted their transfer activity in recent windows.
Although Manuel Pellegrini’s job is still in doubt, the club are already looking to strengthen the squad after failing to narrow the gap between them and league leaders Chelsea, who are currently six points clear at the top of the table.
In addition, they were also knocked out of the Champions League, with star players Stevan Jovetic, Edin Dzeko, Aleksandar Kolarov, Yaya Toure, and Samir Nasri all linked with an exit.
Due to a number of players tipped to leave, City are also prepared to bring in the likes of Ross Barkley, Paul Pogba, Jack Wilshere, Koke, and Layvin Kurzawa, all of whom will surely be demanding huge transfer fees.
