Liverpool have been alerted as Manchester City join the race to sign Barcelona star Marc-Andre ter Stegen, according to reports from Don Balon.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper is believed to be unhappy with his limited role in the La Liga as manager Luis Enrique is only fielding him in the Champions League.
Current Reds number one Simon Mignolet only signed an extension last month, but his future is still in doubt as manager Jurgen Klopp continues his search for a new shot stopper.
However, the Spanish giants are not keen on letting Ter Stegen leave despite his backup role to Claudio Bravo as he is still tied down on a contract until 2019.
He has only managed to register four league appearances this term, featuring another seven times in the Champions League.
