Manchester City star Yaya Toure has revealed that he believes Juventus were lucky to come away with all three points, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 32-year-old saw his side take the lead via an own goal from Giorgio Chiellini, but were eventually pegged back to lose the game 2-1 on the night.
Summer signing Mario Mandzukic levelled the scoring in the 70th minute before Alvaro Morata put the Serie A champions in front with a well placed shot 11 minutes later.
However, despite losing the clash, Toure admitted that his team should have beaten their opponents, but will instead look to impress in their upcoming matches.
“I think the Italian team defended well and I think they were lucky today,” he said.
“We just have to be strong and try to bounce back in the next game. We missed a lot of chances today.
“We have to learn from it and try to do better.”
City have started their Premier League campaign on sensational form, picking up five wins from their first five matches and are yet to concede a goal.
Despite their domestic form, manager Manuel Pellegrini’s side have continued to struggle in Europe, failing to get pass the round of 16 over the past few seasons.
