Italian agent Matteo Materazzi has revealed that Manchester United have already agreed terms with Roma over the potential £32million signing of Kevin Strootman with the move tipped to be completed in the January window, Daily Star reports.
He stated that he believes the 24-year-old’s move to Old Trafford will happen and since Louis van Gaal is closely monitoring the transfer, there’s nothing much the Serie A side can do to halt his exit.
Materazzi said: “Manchester are one step away from Kevin Strootman.
“The British club will pay €40m [£32m] into the coffers of the Giallorossi [Roma].”
His move to the Premier League is currently being seen as a gamble because the Dutch international only recently returned from a serious knee injury which left him out of the World Cup.
The midfield man only made two Serie A appearance this season as Van Gaal along with the Red Devils are still in the dark over how well he has recovered.
