Manchester United have been alerted after Paris Saint-Germain dropped a slight hint over a possible move for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, Mirror reports.
The 30-year-old has constantly been linked with a return to Old Trafford ever since the summer, but will have to compete with the Ligue 1 champions for his signature.
Ronaldo earlier revealed that he is unsure where his future lies, but is currently very happy with his role at Real so far.
However, PSG president Nasser El-Khelaifi has admitted that if he does make a move for the Portugal international, it will be done in secret.
“Ronaldo has a contract with Real and we respect that,” he said.
“Negotiations would be in secret but nothing for now.”
The forward is still considered a vital member of the squad by manager Rafa Benitez given that he has already scored 13 goals from his previous 14 La Liga and Champions League matches.
Benitez recently revealed that he is hoping Ronaldo continues his career at the Bernabeu as he is keen to keep hold of the three time Ballon d’Or winner.
