Manchester United have been alerted after West Bromwich Albion ruled out any talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a move to sign Saido Berahino, Express reports.
The 22-year-old was heavily linked with a transfer to White Hart Lane in the summer, but despite his efforts to force the transfer, he was denied an exit.
Berahino then voiced his frustrations at West Brom chief Jeremy Peace by claiming that he will never play for the Baggies ever again.
However, despite speculation that Tottenham were ready to make a January move for the striker, Peace is believed to have ruled out the possibility of negotiating a deal with Spurs in the future given the recent transfer saga.
This could mean United may have a bigger chance to lure the striker to Old Trafford given manager Louis van Gaal’s intentions to reinforce his attack.
