Manchester United and Arsenal looks to have been given a huge boost in their chase for Ron Vlaar and Fabian Delph after Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert reveals that they could leave in the summer, Express reports.
Both clubs have been linked with centre-back Vlaar in recent months as they look to add some extra reinforcements into their respective back lines while the availability of Delph will also attract the interest of Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners have been searching for a central midfielder for quite some time and after Lambert revealed that once their contract expires at the end of the current campaign, there is nothing he can do.
“This is a brilliant club regardless what football you’re playing,” he said.
“Those two lads have been fantastic for me the three years I’ve been here.
“They’re in their last year and from experience when you get into the Bosman ruling you hold that card.
“I’m delighted with the way they’re playing. Whether they’re in their last year or have ten years to go those lads are right behind the football club at the minute.”
