Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea face stiff competition in their pursuit of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, with the Daily Star reporting that La Liga giants Barcelona have entered the race to sign the 21-year-old.
The French international’s agent, Mino Raiola, recently refused to rule out a move away for the midfielder in the summer but did state that his client wouldn’t be moving away during the current transfer window.
Despite Raiola’s comments, this hasn’t deterred Barcelona in joining the race for the midfielder with 16 international caps for Les Bleus, although the move wouldn’t be possible until the Catalan giants transfer ban ends in 2016.
Pogba, who left Manchester United in the summer of 2012 when his contract expired, has already bagged seven-goals this season across 22-appearances in the Champions League and Serie A combined.
Pogba’s last appearance for the Red Devils came in the 5-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League of March 2012, when he came on for Paul Scholes in the 58th minute.
