Juventus CEO Beppe Moratta has stated that none of the club’s stars will be leaving this summer, much to the disappointment of Manchester United and Chelsea, talkSPORT reveals.
The Premier League pair have been hoping to sign one of either Arturo Vidal or Paul Pogba this summer, but a move now looks very unlikely.
The midfield duo was an integral part of Juventus’ Serie A title win as they became the first team in Italian history to break the 100 point mark in one season.
Both players have been courted by Europe’s elite over the past year, with Man United, Chelsea, and Spanish giants Real Madrid all interested.
However CEO Moratta is adamant that neither will leave the Juventus Stadium this summer after a very disappointing Champions League campaign in which they were knocked out in the group stages.
“We have clear ideas,” he told a number of Italian news outlets. “We’re a winning team that has a leader for a Coach (in Antonio Conte).
“For this reason, I’m excluding the possible departures of our stars.
“Real Madrid have shown an appreciation of Vidal, but that’s it. And with Pogba we hope to meet in the coming weeks to renew his contract.”
